## Privacy Policy

4 October 2022

Brainmirror was built independently by Headbright Group VOF, a company based in Belgium.

We consider your privacy to be of utmost importance in building Brainmirror. We consider your personal data as belonging to you, on your device, under your control and that it should stay that way. Brainmirror has been designed from the ground up to maintain your privacy, and to only use personal data, where necessary, for the features of the app.

We use TelemetryDeck to track how often features of the app are used. We chose this service because it was designed and built by indie developers like us, who share our beliefs in respecting user privacy. Any data sent to TelemetryDesk is anonymous, and not associated with you or your personal data. We really just want to know if the app is working okay, and get some very basic usage info, like how often the diary screen is opened. TelemetryDeck also includes basic device info like the model and OS version. There’s a link to TelemetryDeck’s own privacy policy below.

We also store your responses to the self check locally on device. The reason for this is so we can, at some point in the not-too-distant future, show you some cool graphs and statistics about how you’re using Brainmirror.

To be clear, we’re not collecting your personal data, we don’t track you across the internet or across other apps. We don’t want the liability of collecting your data, so we don’t do it.

We hope that you feel comfortable and that your privacy is respected as you use Brainmirror,

## Legal

### Personally-Identifying Information

Brainmirror does not gather or transmit any Personally-Identifying Information outside your local device. It only stores your responses to the self-check test and preferences about the user interface within its local database.

TelemetryDeck uses anonymized identifiers generated by your device using Apple’s privacy-respecting APIs. If you delete and reinstall Brainmirror, that identifier is reset.

### Business Transfers

If Headbright Group VOF, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Headbright Group VOF goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, this policy and its effects may change or be amended. (As Headbright Group VOF does not collect any information about you, there is very little effect this would likely have in practice.)

### Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely minor, Headbright Group VOF may change its Privacy Policy from time to time and at Headbright Group VOF’s sole discretion. Your continued use of this app after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

### Indemnity

You hereby indemnify us and undertake to keep us indemnified against any losses, damages, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including, without limitation, legal expenses and any amounts paid by us to a third party in settlement of a claim or dispute on the advice of our legal advisers) incurred or suffered by us arising out of the use of this app or any breach by you of any provision of these terms of use, or arising out of any claim that you have breached any provision of these terms of use.
